Why You’ll Love It

  • Fast & Easy: Done in under 20 minutes.

  • Protein-Packed: A great way to help you hit that protein goal.

  • Customizable: Add or swap toppings to fit your family’s tastes.

  • Kid-Friendly: The flavors are classic, familiar, and fun.

Ingredients

For the Beef:

  • 1 lb ground beef (lean or regular, your choice)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

For the Special Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 3 tablespoons ketchup

  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

  • 1 tablespoon dill or sweet relish

  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • Dash of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles. Drain any excess fat if needed.

  2. Make the Special Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayo, ketchup, mustard, relish, pickle juice, garlic powder, and pepper until smooth and creamy. Adjust to taste — add more ketchup for sweetness, more mustard for tang.

  3. Assemble the Salad: In a bowl, layer chopped lettuce with your toppings of choice: tomatoes, pickles, roasted potatoes, bacon, cheese, etc. Top with warm seasoned ground beef.

  4. Drizzle & Serve: Spoon the special sauce over the top or serve on the side as dressing.

    Toss gently and enjoy!

Tips & Variations

  • Make it lighter: Swap mayo for Greek yogurt in the sauce.

  • Meal prep: Store cooked beef separately from the salad base for easy lunches all week.

  • Family style: Serve salad ingredients in bowls and let everyone build their own “burger bowls.”

This Cheeseburger Salad has all the flavors of a backyard cookout in one easy bowl. It’s satisfying, high in protein, and a fun way to enjoy a classic favorite — no bun required.
